Happy New Year! How Bout Them Sooners?

As the calendar year changes many businesses take a look at where they have been and where they are going. I wanted to share with you, our members, a little of my vision for the future of FullNet as well as a brief summary of our history.

FullNet Communications Inc. (the "Company") is a regional integrated communications provider ("ICP") offering integrated communications and network solutions to individuals, businesses, organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies. Through its subsidiaries, the Company provides high quality, reliable and scaleable Internet, telephony, and network solutions designed to meet customer needs. Services include:

  • High margin carrier-neutral telecommunications grade co-location facilities

  • Dial-up and direct high-speed connectivity to the Internet under the FullNet brand name

  • Web site design, hosting and server co-location for businesses

  • Wireless broadband Internet, voice and data access services

  • Network design, management, optimization, and ongoing support and maintenance for businesses

  • Backbone services to small Internet Service Providers ("ISPs") and businesses

Global domain name registration services (expected to commence in 2001)

FullNet Company History

The Company was founded in 1995 as CEN-COM of Oklahoma, Inc., an Oklahoma corporation, to bring dial-up Internet access and education to rural locations in Oklahoma that did not have dial-up Internet access. The Company changed its name to FullNet Communications, Inc. in December 1995, and shifted its focus from offering dial-up services to providing wholesale and private label network connectivity and related services to other ISPs. During 1995 and 1996, the Company furnished wholesale and private label network connectivity services to ISPs in Bartlesville, Cushing, Durant, Perry, Tahlequah, and Tulsa. During 1996, the Company sold its ISP operations in Enid, Oklahoma and began ISP operations in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

In 1997 the Company continued its focus on being a backbone provider by upgrading and acquiring more equipment. The Company also started offering its own ISP brand access and services to its wholesale customers. As of September 30, 2000, there were two ISPs in Oklahoma that used the FullNet brand name where the Company provides the backbone to the Internet. There are an additional two ISPs that use a private label brand name, where the Company is their access backbone and provides their technical support, managing and operating their systems on an outsource basis. Additionally, the Company provides high-speed broadband connectivity, web site hosting, network management, and consulting solutions to over 50 businesses in Oklahoma.

In 1998 the Company's gross revenues exceeded $1,000,000 and the Company made the Metro Oklahoma City Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies list. In 1998 the Company commenced the process of organizing a competitive local exchange carrier ("CLEC") through FullTel, and acquired Animus Communications, Inc. ("Animus"), a wholesale web-service company, thereby enabling the Company to become a total solutions provider to individuals and companies seeking a "one-stop shop" in Oklahoma. Animus was renamed FullWeb in January 2000.

With the incorporation of FullTel and the acquisition of FullWeb, the Company's current business strategy is to become the dominant ICP in Oklahoma and surrounding states, focusing on rural areas. The Company expects to grow through the acquisition of additional customers for its carrier-neutral co-location space, commencement of domain name registration (expected to begin during 2001), acquisition of ISPs and network solutions providers, as well as through a FullNet brand marketing campaign. The Company completed four separate acquisitions of ISP companies during 2000, operating in, respectively, Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Enid, Oklahoma and Nowata, Oklahoma.

During the month of February 2000, trading of the Company's common stock began trading on the OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol FULO. While the Company's common stock trades on the OTC Bulletin Board, it is very thinly traded, and there can be no assurance that stockholders will be able to sell their shares should they desire to do so. Any market for the common stock that may develop, in all likelihood, will be a limited one, and if such a market does develop, the price may be volatile.

On June 20, 2000, the Company entered into a contract to provide co-location services to KMC Telecom V, Inc. ("KMC"), a facilities-based competitive local exchange carrier ("CLEC"). The agreement extends until January 31, 2004. Under the terms of the contract, KMC will pay the Company $44,500 per month to provide co-location and support services for KMC's telecommunications equipment at the Company's Network Operations Center ("NOC") in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Company is building out its NOC and expects to complete the project during the first quarter of 2001. KMC moved into the Company's NOC and began making payments pursuant to the agreement during the third quarter of 2000. The Company plans to market additional carrier neutral co-location solutions in its NOC to other CLECs, ISPs and web-hosting companies.

The Company's co-location facility is carrier neutral, so customers may choose among competitive offerings rather than being restricted to one carrier. When fully completed, the NOC will be Telco-grade, so as to provide customers the highest level of operative reliability and security. The Company offers flexible space arrangements for customers, 24-hour onsite support and both battery and generator backup.

As a publicly held company, FullNet has an obligation to its investors to publish this information, but we also feel that you, our members/customers, should also know about the company with which you do business. Just When We Thought Is Was Safe To Believe What The Media Wants Us To See, Hear, And Read

Well it's a New Year. Who won, and the process of the presidential election is no longer interesting news. There are no major domestic catastrophes on the horizon, such as the highly publicized, media hyped Y2K fiasco, and the talking heads at all the networks have been searching near and far to find the next journalist farce they can perpetrate on the American public.

Before coming to FullNet Communications, Inc., I spent 33 years in radio and television. So you see, I have carnal knowledge of how the liberal media uses fear, doubt, innuendo, facts that are presented as truth, and some really fancy editing equipment along with an incredible amount of double talk to report what they affectionately refer to as "News". The Networks, and most all other news media, work very hard to convince you and me that the news they present is researched, written and reported by dedicated, honest journalists. These writers and reporters say that their basic desire is to exercise their fourth amendment right. They claim that it is the intent of this amendment to ensure the American public has access to any and all news. Although there are some truly dedicated, sincere journalists who have convinced themselves that this is their true purpose, the fact is that the success of what they do is not based on accuracy or truth, but on their ability to gain and keep an audience or readership. Advertisers do not spend money on the medium with the most accurate, truthful, and edifying news. They spend their ad dollars on the media who produces the highest number of listeners, viewers, and readers. I won't go into the details of how this works, but there is a movie that I suggest you see to get an idea of how "fact" is not always "truth". The title of this movie is "Absence of Malice". It stars Sally Fields as a dedicated, honest reporter with good intentions, who is being manipulated by her own desire to become a star reporter and others who she believes has her best interest at heart. The other stars are Paul Newman, Wilford Brimley, and a host of character actors you will recognize and enjoy. See this movie and it will change the way you see, hear, and read most, if not all accounts of investigative reporting.

If I sound cynical, then you're about to get my point. Frankly, I'm not only cynical I'm down right angry. Most of all I'm angry with myself because I know better than to be trapped into hearing, watching, and reading mostly those things which give me an emotional rush. Then, not only do I watch it, but also I start repeating it as though it is the truth. (Remember the old adage: "You don't have to believe a rumor to repeat it"). I figure that if I'm a victim of all this fallacy with the inside knowledge I have, then the general public doesn't have a chance.

In my February FullNews article, I am going to reveal what has already been presented by two of the major Networks and several publications as the big "news story" for the year 2001. So be prepared to fasten you r seat belts, lock in your food trays, put your seats in an upright position, and store any additional carry on articles under a seat, for this year's number one "journalist ride" all in the name of "News". The only thing I can promise is a safe landing.

A Stranger Is Just Another Friend You Have'nt Met Via The Internet

It was not all that long ago that the world was introduced to an innovative idea referred to as the Internet. It was also not long before the Internet caught on and began to spread like wild fire. Intriguing to some and feared by others, it didn't take much to figure out that the Internet was here to stay. As with radio, telephone, and television, the Internet has its good and bad points. Through the good and the bad, it has allowed people to do one thing, get to know others from a multitude of different cultural, racial, ethnic, and economic backgrounds.

Through the Internet I have met a wonderful young woman from New York who loves to swim, an adventurous woman from Japan, who enjoys watching American football and traveling, and an ambitious young man from the Dominican Republic whose dream is to one day play baseball in the United States.

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, let's take a minute to celebrate people. Let's take a minute to embrace other cultures and learn to appreciate and learn from our differences. I would like to encourage you to take the time to get to know someone new today.
