Today is:

Will the truth please stand up!

Many of my family and friends forward suspicious emails to me and ask me if this could be true. This month I thought I would share some sites that can answer that question for you.

For years I have used this site and I believe it was one of the first that tried to tell the truth about scams and emails. The only criticism I have it is leans fairly liberal where politics are concerned. http://www.snopes.com

If your question is of a political nature you might want to check out. http://www.factcheck.org or http://www.heritage.org they both are center to right in their politics.

Hoax-Slayer is dedicated to debunking email hoaxes, thwarting Internet scammers, combating spam, and educating web users about email and Internet security issues. Hoax-Slayer allows Internet users to check the veracity of common email hoaxes and aims to counteract criminal activity by publishing information about common types of Internet scams. Hoax-Slayer also includes anti-spam tips, computer and email security information, articles about true email forwards, and much more. New articles are added to the Hoax-Slayer website every week. http://www.hoax-slayer.com

Let's pass along only the truth out there!

What Have You Done For Me Lately?

It's OK - you can ask that of us. I DO know how it is. I love living in the country - but let's face it that means I have a dial up connection because any form of high speed is either going to have obscene costs or is simply not available at any price. So I spend time trying to get the most out of my connection.

In this quest I do run across places that offer service at different prices, so I asked myself "What do we give our customers?" It may be a good time to make sure you know of the many free things that come with your account that others charge for and ask what more we can do for you.

When you go to our site http://www.fullnet.net you will be able to see links across the top portion of the screen. From here you can click on FullZone http://www.fullnet.net/fullzone where one of the first links you will see is for FullSpeed. This is an accelerator that will speed viewing web pages by 5 to 7 times what dial up alone will offer. And it is already paid for with your account ... nothing extra.

There is also a link to free software here, or you can go directly to http://www.fullnet.net/fullzone/software.html to choose web browsers, Viewers & Browser Plug ins, FTP Clients, Instant Messaging as well as SpyWare & Virus Removal. Which reminds me ... each of your free 5 additional e-mail addresses comes with a spam and virus scanner that stores quarantined items off site so that they never even reach your computer!

There is also a 'Check Mail' button across that top bar which allows you to check your FullNet e-mail from any computer any where. The web interface for e-mail is also a convenient way of checking mail when there might be a large item that your phone lines could not download.

Many places charge extra for these services but we have them included for you already. If you need help with any of these you can also call our customer service 24 hours a day. By the way that is free as well (no per minute charge here) and you can even reach us on a toll free number at 1-877-385-5832.

Call us or e-mail us at support@fullnet.net and let us know what you would like to see added or offered. Let us know what we can do for you. We truly do want to be all we can be for you!

PS: We also try to pass along neat things and places in our newsletters each month ... and in researching that I found a wealth of games that work over dial up at http://www.gtds.net/list-games.php?cat=dial-up - give them a try! (And yes, they are free too.)
